Student Coordinating Council. The SCC is the decision-making body for Wichita medical students. Elected members represent their classmates on matters relating to curricular and extracurricular activities. The SCC also fosters a spirit of student involvement in the achievement of high standards of scholarship, leadership, and service to the community and the university.

American Medical Association — Medical Student Section. The AMA-MSS includes medical students in the development and promotion of standards in medical practice, research, and education. In addition to regular meetings, students are involved with the Sedgwick County Medical Society and the Kansas Medical Society and participate in national meetings.

Jager Society. A local history of medicine club has several meetings a year. Students are encouraged to participate in this informative event to socialize with local physicians and their spouses and hear a presentation by a noted medical historian.
